Purpose

​The purpose of Quilters' Guild of East Texas is to preserve the heritage of quilting, to assist members in developing a high quality of excellence in quilting, to be a source of information and inspiration, and to provide a gathering of people with a common interest.  

To that end, the QGET has provided monthly educational programming, offered workshops, sponsored a yearly quilt show every year since 1982 (except for pandemic years), held sew days, sponsored retreats, encouraged small group formation, and supported charitable sewing projects.
