Karen’s love of patchwork began in the late 1990’s. Ever since she started her quilting journey she has been drawn towards antique quilts and the legacies that they carry from generations of quiltmakers that have gone before. Her creative passion has transformed traditional style quilts into achievable projects using modern techniques.
Karen specializes in teaching many traditional forms of patchwork techniques covering all skill levels. She loves to encourage her students to constantly try something new! Her teaching career has taken her to many local and international locations including the USA, Europe and the UK.

The choices we make after completing our quilt tops vitally influence the success of our work. Decisions regarding quilting design, blocking, and edge finishes should always be appropriate to a quilt's purpose, whether to cuddle a baby or to hang beautifully on a museum wall.
