Each month we will offer a 12 ½” block pattern to our members, and you can download the patterns from this page. The block will be due at the next month’s guild meeting, and you will turn them in to Connie Miller at the BOM table.
For each block that you turn in you will get one chance to win the drawing. Typically one or two participants will win ALL the blocks each month.
From your stash of fabrics and using the directions, make one block (or more, if you like) and return the completed block(s) at the next Guild monthly meeting. Be sure to attach your name to the block(s) you turn in.
RULES (until otherwise notified)
1. This year all blocks will finish at 12.5” square. Seams are expected to be ¼ inch. We ask that you DO NOT trim or square up your finished block – Let the winner decide to do this to fit her quilt design.
2. The directions will include colors (if needed), your cutting sizes, piecing instructions, a photo or drawing of the layout, and a photo of the finished block.
3. Read the directions, and if you have a question, please feel free to call me. I will have made each block using those directions, but I’m not perfect…
4. Please use good quality cotton fabrics, remove selvages, pre-shrink with starch/steam and press before cutting to prevent possible color bleeding (which could make block be wonky, crooked or stained, oh, no!!)
